Google Earth software is a hefty 13MB file download for its worth. Sure it loads KML files, those 3D maps/buildings and landscape but for us who just want a taste of the updated maps of Google Map, I have the perfect site to share! Try wikimapia.org for a testdrive.

I’m trying to locate this wikimapia.org but its showing Error on page..

Khan: they could be doing some maintenance work. Try this: http://72.232.207.210/ — it should display an error message or something related to Google Earth API license.

chitrabhanu, check with your ISP. I’m able to open the site without a fuss.
