This is really cool!

Benjamin Joffe and his proof of concept example on how far he could go with Canvas. To see is to believe.

I know the answer but let this guy explain it to us.

"Combine high pressure with long working hours and the result is inevitable. Real productivity declines, defects go up. Unfortunately, we have no real way to measure defect injection until after the fact. The less capable our testing is, the less we know about defects. Pressure and long hours break our instruments just when we need them most." – Impact of Overtime on Productivity, Ron Jeffrie, XP Magazine

cap 1It took me 15 minutes to download this wonderful creation by excellent animators.  It’s called "Elephants Dream". An opensource 3D animation worth viewing. It has very professional production artwork. A very impressive use of Blender indeed!Wow, talk about good use of "opensource" in the entertainment industry!

If you have time, try to download the movie. I recommend downloading via bittorrent  because it’s way faster since the demand is high. Enjoy!

I found this awesome site for geeks! A quick tour on how to code the usual “Hello, World” program on several languages. Enjoy! [ view the site ]

I’m contemplating on buying a wireless router because I really need it at home especially during weekends. I just want to maximize the use of SMART Bro while their internet service/connection is still good. You never knew when will be their next technical activities that usually lasts for 3 to 5 days (from my experience) or maybe worst!

Some guy from tipidpc.com is offering me his D-Link AirPlus G Wireless Pocket Router/AP and I’m yet to decide whether it’s going to give a good return for how much it is….? Good thing my boss is and letting me tests his wireless router (a his place — same D-link unit) it at my place to evaluate the performance first. Hmmm, i hope the wirless router i’m getting is still available by the time I finished testing boss’ router. HAHA

What do you think about this router? Help me out :)

Update: Yep, I bought it yesterday. It’s good :)

Something from my home-sweet-home Legazpi City!

"INFOTEK (Information Technology) Show 2006, now on its fifth season, is
a most awaited biennial event in Albay Province, Philippines. This
activity is being held in celebration of the Small and Medium
Enterprise Development Week in the province every third week of July,
and this year, it will be held on July 18-21, 2006 at the Albay
Astrodome, Legazpi City. It is being spearheaded by the Albay
Information & Communications Technology Association, Inc. (AICTA), a
local group that actively advocates the development of the ICT Industry
in the province.

INFOTEK 2006 primarily aims to showcase and promote the latest in
Information and Communications TEchnology (hardware and software) to
the local people specially the small and medium entrepreneurs; for them
to appreciate, use and maximize the benefits derived in applying these
latest technologies in their personal and business endeavors.

THEME: The World Needs IT, Albay has IT

From INQ7.NET InfoTech – "Caltex Philippines will provide wireless internet access in convinience stores at it’s gasoline stations."

Wow, if I only had a car or near a Caltex station. We need a free wireless internet access!

Powered by Qumana

A read from INQ7.NET INFOTECH section about the supreme court’s plan to interconnect the Court of Appeals, Sandiganbayan and Court of Tax Appeals forming a wide-area-network (WAN). The SC plan to provide VoIP to route calls over the internet. Now that’s a big savings! VoIP is a hot thing not only for businesses but for the Philippine government offices as well. It means savings. Hopefully, this will create a big cut on the yearly budget in the next few years if the project will ever commence.

Learning SVN

May 20, 2006

I’m committing myself to learning Subversion for my current and future web projects. Hopefully, I can accomplish this task not unlike before when I was learning CVS versioning system. If you have a site/link that can make me speed my learning, please leave a comment. Thanks!

Updates
(2005-05-23) I can do checkin/checkout/update/commit now! I think this versioning system is just flawlessly shiny!

I came across this site called ChannelChooser that allowed me to watch live video streams such as news, sports, adult channel, fashion, music videos and even classic movies. It has 70 TV channels worth clicking. Be warned though that some of the streams are not for 18 years old and below.

I think this is just what I need whenever I craved for TV while working :) Go check it out for youself and enjoy!
